GREEN TWP. — While township leaders are excited about the state-of-the-art medical services Mercy Health is bringing to the West Side, they’re also looking forward to economic development opportunities the new hospital will help attract.

Mercy Health – West Hospital, a 250-bed, full-service hospital off of North Bend Road near Interstate 74, will open for business Sunday, Nov. 10. 


Roughly five years in the making, the $240 million hospital will feature the latest advancements in patient care and comfort, new technologies, private patient rooms and expanded medical services for West Siders.

WORKOUT ANYTIME is looking to expand in the Mount Pleasant area. WORKOUT ANYTIME, a fitness club that is open 24 hours a day, recently opened up locations in Easley, Sumter and Anderson. They are currently scouting for locations for clubs and seeking prospective franchisees to open four clubs in Mount Pleasant over the next two years. 


“Mount Pleasant is the perfect fit for our unique 24-hour fitness model,” said Vice-President of Development Randy Trotter. “We’re excited about the opportunities to expand our presence in the area and bring the Mount Pleasant community an affordable club where they can work out on their schedule.”

EASLEY – Success of a 24-hourfitness franchise in Anderson has spurred the addition of the brand to Easley by late September.

Greg Powers, owner of the AndersonWorkout Anytime, was meeting flooring contractors and potential customers at the Easley location Tuesday, ramping up for the Sept. 15 delivery of workout equipment. 

“We have set company records for growth,” Powers said of the Anderson location near Hamericks on Clemson Boulevard.
